Location
Open Air Cinema Kinský Garden is located in Kinský Garden behind the National Museum of Ethnography. The screen is placed on the rear façade of the Kinský Summer Palace. The easiest way to reach us is by tram 9, 12, 15 or 20 to Švandovo divadlo, or by bus 176 to Kobrova.

Screening Times
Screenings begin at 9:30 PM in June and July, 9:00 PM in August and 8:30 PM in September. If it is still too bright outside, music is played before the film starts.
Tickets
Tickets can be purchased online via GoOut or directly at the venue before the screening. At the venue we accept cash, payment cards and QR payments. Tickets are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled.
In case of rain, screenings are moved indoors to Atlas Cinema. Your ticket remains valid there. If you wish to see the film exclusively outdoors, we recommend buying tickets on the day of the screening, once the weather forecast is clear.
Standard ticket price is usually 139 CZK. Some partner screenings are offered at reduced prices.
Refreshments
A small outdoor bar offers Únětice beer, Karásek's homemade plum lemonade and light snacks. Toilets are available at Café Dorado inside the National Museum of Ethnography. Blankets are available on colder evenings.
Languages & Subtitles
All foreign-language films are screened in their original language with Czech subtitles. Films marked English Friendly, German Friendly, Japanese Friendly and similar labels indicate that the film is accessible for speakers of those languages despite the Czech subtitles.
Rain Plan
If weather conditions are unsuitable, screenings are usually moved indoors to Atlas Cinema rather than cancelled. We publish confirmation no later than two hours before the screening on our website and Facebook.
Visitors who purchased tickets online receive an email notification if the venue changes.
About Us
Open Air Cinema Kinský Garden was founded during the Covid pandemic in 2020 by a group of filmmakers, when indoor cinemas were closed. What started as a temporary project quickly became one of Prague's favourite outdoor cinemas, welcoming tens of thousands of visitors every summer.
The experience gained here later inspired to run the same group to run famous Atlas Cinema, and the creation of a new KINo 6, a new year-round cinema and cultural venue near Kinský Garden.
